FMSCICOM Conference
FMSCICOM, Scientific Conference for Ph.D. Students and Young Researchers in Management, is an annual event organized by Prague University of Economics and Business, Faculty of Management. The overall aim of the conference is to provide a lively forum for academics and postgraduate students to meet and present their research, share their ideas, acquire new knowledge, and also build a network with others from various background in an informal, interdisciplinary meeting.
The conference is open to Ph.D. and Master’s students from all universities, who are invited to submit their research (fragments of their doctoral or masters thesis) in the form of extended abstract of their papers (published or in preparation) or proposals and posters under the scope of economics, management and other relevant disciplines. All submitted extended abstracts, proposals and posters are accepted for public presentation in both verbal and poster sections. The 15 – 20 minute public presentation takes place in front of the programme committee and is followed by a brief discussion on the topic and research itself.
The conference is organized as a two track event. The first track is for Junior researchers (Master’s and junior Ph.D. students) who present their research proposal, the second track is for Senior researchers (senior Ph.D. students or students who have participated in this conference before) who present their work-in-progress.
All active participants will receive The Certificate of Attendance as a confirmation of their participation in the conference. Participants – students as the first (or sole) authors and students (or PhDs who completed Ph.D. studies less than 5 years before the conference) as the further authors – will compete for the Best Presentation Award awarded by the Programme Committe.
The conference participation is free of charge for all participants. Accompanying persons and listeners are also welcome and registration is necessary too. Please note that only fully registered participants who submit their work will be included in the Conference Programme.
